Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced a full lockdown two days a week throughout August. However, two days are missing from the list of lockdown on Tuesday afternoon.

In a tweet on the same night, the state home ministry said that the lockdown would not take place on August 2 and 9, keeping in mind the sentiments of the common people, keeping in mind the Goat Eid and Rakhi Purnima.

However, if the Corona situation in the state comes under control due to the lockdown in August, it will be considered to open one-day inter-school colleges from September 5, Teacher's Day to Pujo. But that will depend on Corona's situation.



He also mentioned a humanitarian decision of the state government. If someone dies after being brought to the hospital, from now on the person does not need to undergo COVID examination. The body will be handed over to the family of the deceased in accordance with the guidelines of ICMR. As a result, the harassment of the people of the state with dead bodies will be reduced a lot.



The announcement of a new lockdown, however, sheds some light on the state's Corona report. According to the information given by the health department on Tuesday, 2134 people have been infected with a corona in the last 24 hours. However, the most hopeful news is that 2105 people have recovered during this period. As a result, the total number of corona cases in the state is 62,964, while the number of active patients is only 19,493. That means 42,022 people have recovered. Recovery rate 66.74%.



However, there are thoughts about death. The new killing virus has claimed the lives of 38 more people in the state. As a result, the total number of corona deaths in Bengal stood at 1,449. This is what health officials are thinking.
