120 legal issues were registered in 3 benches. At the end of the day, after hearing all the cases, the settlement of 60 cases was completed.

The Calcutta High Court administration is also happy to have settled 50% of the cases on the first day. At a press conference at noon, Justice Soumen Sen said, "The central government, the state government, various insurance companies and banks are sending more and more cases to the next people's court." The online people's court after September 26, 2020 is sitting in the Calcutta High Court.


People come to court on Saturday mainly to solve legal issues related to accident cases, electricity, pension, gratuity and compassionate (Compassionate). Justice Debangshu Basak, Justice Saugat Bhattacharya and Justice Shampa Sarkar appeared in three online people's court benches on Saturday. A bench of Justice Basak filed 36 cases out of which 30 cases were disposed of.


A bench of Justice Saugat Bhattacharya filed 50 cases out of which 13 were settled and a bench of Justice Sarkar filed 34 cases out of which 17 cases were disposed of on Saturday.


Chief Justice TB Radhakrishnan inaugurated the online people's court this morning. Justice Sanjeev Banerjee, Justice Soumen Sen, State Advocate General Kishore Dutt, Additional Solicitor General YJ Dastur and many others were present on the occasion. The process was completed with the help of the Calcutta High Court Legal Services Committee.
